One of only two Single Pass Chipseal Units in Africa
Continuous research and development of new methods, products and equipment that is appropriate to create employment through labour based methods within the roads sector has kept Tarfix well abreast of any of its competitors. The latest development, namely the hand operated chipspreader or "Chippy", is creating hundreds of job opportunities in the road surfacing sector, whilst remaining comparable with regards to quality and costing. Surfacing of gravel and re-surfacing of existing roads using this methodology and equipment has already been successfully concluded in Mpumalanga, Limpopo as well as in the Western and Northern Cape Provinces.
Tarfix employs experienced personnel, specializing in road surface seals and coupled with previous experience of working with first time contractors, and are well positioned to participate in the challenges brought forth by the Expanded Public Works Programme.
The superior quality of Tarfix products and equipment together with the fact that Tarfix Cold Asphalt is the only continuously graded material with consistent quality, make these products highly sought after by people that are serious about road maintenance and construction.
